Heartfelt tribute paid to former Commandant K. Babu Rao during WARB (Ministry of Home Affairs) quarterly meeting

New Delhi : The first person who, on the basis of his versatility, got appointed as DSP in CRPF without passing any test. Quoting the press release issued by Alliance of All Ex Paramilitary General Secretary Ranbir Singh, it was said that CRPF brave Commandant Chetan Cheeta organized the quarterly meeting of WARB (Ministry of Home Affairs) at Group Centre CRPF Jharoda Kala.

On this occasion, hundreds of former paramilitary personnel of CRPF and other forces from around the National Capital Delhi area participated and brought to light their pension, rehabilitation and other welfare issues for the department’s cognizance and solution.

On this occasion, General Secretary Ranbir Singh shared the details of the conversation between the former paramilitary delegation and the Hon’ble Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Nityanand Rai on 28 June, which included details of restoration of old pension of soldiers, formation of Artha Sainik Welfare Boards in the states, release of liquor facility of CLMS to CISF soldiers and other issues.


Former ADG Shri HR Singh, who attended the meeting of WARB, observed two minutes silence and paid emotional tribute to the departed soul of former Commandant K. Baburao, who died suddenly in a car accident on 30 June. He also informed all the CAPF members present about the financial contribution of Rs. 10 lakhs for CRPF Public School Ranga Reddy, by Shri Kosa Babu Rao, in the development of sports in the force, especially as the coach of the Kabaddi team.


He was a bright trainee of the prestigious Lakshmi Bai College of Physical Education Gwalior whose chairman was former General Cariappa who recognized Shri Rao’s talent and inducted him directly into Andhra Pradesh Police. Shri Rao’s love and friendliness displayed during the Group Centre New Delhi and Group Centre Sonipat Veterans’ Felicitation Ceremony in the first week of March left an unforgettable impression on everyone’s mind. Shri K Babu Rao ji will always be remembered for his good nature and behavior.
